Manly Lagoon — community sailing, done right.

Overview

North Manly Yacht Club Inc. is a long-standing community group operating in Manly Lagoon for over six years. This proposal seeks formal recognition for the club's recreational use of the lagoon for community-led RC sailing.

What we're asking for

  • 🚩 Permitted use of up to 10 temporary buoys as racing marks.
  • 🛥 Scheduled, supervised RC sailing race sessions.
  • 🎓 Continued STEM partnerships with local schools via TinkerTank.
  • 🏖 Recognition as a community user group of Manly Lagoon.

All buoys are deployed and retrieved each session.

No motors, no fuel

RC yachts are sail-powered. Silent and emission-free.

No swimmer interaction

Activity is sectioned away from swim zones.

Volunteer-run, free to attend
